How to Fix It on iPhone
Check these three things:
- Photos Permissions
Settings – Privacy & Security – Photos
Make sure Shortcuts or your browser has got access - Safari Downloads
Settings → Safari → Downloads
Select a Known Location (iCloud or On my iPhone) - Shortcut Permissions
Go to the shortcut, re-run the shortcut, answer all prompts (Photos, Files, Network)
If you denied a permission once iOS remembers it and won’t forgive easily.
Fix #5: The Video Is Region-Locked, Private or Soft-Deleted
This one is personal to me, but it is not meant to be.
Sometimes Pinterest vids are:
- region restricted
- deleted but still cached
- in-app but not publicly available
- private board
Your downloader can’t take what Pinterest won’t serve to the public.
How to Tell This Is the Issue
The video plays in the app but won’t load in a browser, or downloaders have “private” or “unsupported.”
How to Fix It
You can’t always. But try:
- Open the Pin in Safari, when you are not logged in
- Screen recording as a last resort
- See whether the creator reposted the video elsewhere
